1974 Toyota Land Crusier FJ40
Asking $39,500 CAD + Applicable Taxes + Applicable Licensing Fees.
By so many standards, the FJ40 Land Cruiser is the definitive 20th century 4x4. With an international pedigree like a Land Rover, the rugged simplicity of a Jeep and swagger like an old Bronco, the FJ is a greatest hits album of classic trucks. Fun to look at, sure, but driving one will take your appreciation to a whole new level. This is a very nice example of the iconic FJ40.
This vehicle has been restored by a retired aircraft mechanic who has done a meticulous job on it. It is a registered 1974 FJ with a donor rust-free southern 1977 tub and rebuilt engine. The paint is very average with a few blemishes, so no garage queen but will make a great driver.
Standard OMVIC declaration required on all used cars sold in Ontario that are not certified:
“This vehicle is being sold “as is,” unfit, not e-tested and is not represented as being in road worthy condition, mechanically sound or maintained at any guaranteed level of quality. The vehicle may not be fit for use as a means of transportation and may require substantial repairs at the purchaser’s expense. It may not be possible to register the vehicle to be driven in its current condition.”
Restoration Garage - Season 5
(Currently filming Season 6)
Eccentric entrepreneur David Grainger might like to fly planes, ride horses and race boats but his true love has led him to one career and there is nothing blue-collar about it. At The Guild of Automotive Restorers, David Grainger and his team save the world's rarest classic vehicles. From re-building a one-of-a-kind turn of the century French De Dion, to recreating the multi million dollar Bugatti Aerolithe or by getting the engine of a 1969 Plymouth GTX roaring back to life.
David's crew of automobile mavericks turn rust into gold and deal with all the dents along the way. However, it is not just about the cars. David scours the planet's most elite auctions with friend and investment partner Larry Burns. They often bring back four wheeled gems to fix-and-flip. Shop manager Greg Bowler keeps the restoration garage machine running smoothly.
AND for all those people who have been asking...David's shirts are tailored by Bugatchi (Seasons 4 & 5)
